About Natius Academy

Natius Academy is based on a vision of what human learning can and should be. All of us are beneficiaries of those who came before us — passing on their lessons, letting us stand on their shoulders to get closer to the stars.

Yet the education system as currently provided seems designed to hold us back, to standardise, to block, to inhibit. Through standardised schooling, children are incentivised to be average — with every course, every lesson, targeted at the average. Those not average, whether above or below, are given the message that they are not welcome, they are not important. Either be bored, or at the other end of the spectrum, not even assessed. This should not be acceptable in modern society.

Once school is completed, higher education is structured around rigid, expensive courses, designed for yesterday's career, obsolete before they are finished — with much of the content never used again, even if employment can be found.

Natius Academy was designed from personal experience: of trying to get a standardised system to accommodate young people with diverse needs and finding it wanting, and of years of tertiary and post-graduate study marked by constant friction. We built the platform we wished had existed.

Education needs a revolution. AI allows this paradigm to change. Courses can be designed for the individual — based on their personal interests and ambitions, delivered in their timeframe, contextualised to see where their learning can lead. The disruption that AI will bring necessitates an overhaul. It needs to be fast. It needs to be flexible. It needs to empower the individual to adapt to the rapid change that is inevitably coming.

All humans are on a unique journey. Natius Academy is a tool to help you on yours. It is a system to disrupt, to democratise, to deliver. It is a system to facilitate discovery.
